To the Members of Knock Golf Club, it is a great honour and privilege for me to be elected Captain of this historic and truly great golf club.

As captain of a members club, it is my responsibility, with the aid of my council, to arrange the year’s activities and hopefully ensure members enjoy the calendar of fixtures and social events.

I cannot overstress the importance, particularly in these financially difficult times, of the need for all members to fully support the club and the activities arranged for you the members.

Much has changed in the modern golf club and as Captain I hope to serve the members in such a way that the club moves forward and has a reputation for creating a friendly atmosphere and promoting a golf course which is a fair but challenging test."

I believe that each year brings further improvements on the course and continued success for golfers in individual and inter-club team competitions.
