The Knock Golf Club Privacy Policy
Introduction
This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give to us when you join Knock Golf Club.
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and will never release your personal details to any third party without your express consent. When you join or visit the club certain personal information is collected from you (for example: your name, email address, gender, golf handicap, type of membership sought). You can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Children may not provide any personal information (including name, email address, phone number or any information that others could use to contact them directly) without parental consent.
What we collect
We may collect, store or use, some or all of the following information:

- Date of Birth
- Current Address
- Phone numbers
- Email address
- Gender
- Handicap ability
- Membership Category
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to help administer the affairs of the club and my use your personal information for.
- Internal record keeping.
- Sending you e-mail notifications about events or offers.
- Sending subscription notices to you.
- Contacting you with relevant club correspondence.
- Maintaining a record of any competitions you play in.
- Provide information to Golfing Union of Ireland as necessary.
- Confirm your handicap to other Golf Clubs if they request confirmation of your handicap for any competitions you have entered with them.
- We may share your information with the Professional or the Caterer in order that they may keep you informed of Club events etc.
Knock Golf Club will retain your personal information on our club membership database for the duration of your membership. When the data is no longer required, all reasonable steps will be taken to erase it without delay.
We will not, without your permission, provide your personal information to any third party for the purpose of direct marketing.
Website
Our website may contain links to other websites. When you click on such links the privacy policy of the websites to which you are linked will govern the use of your information collected on their site. Knock Golf Club does not have access to, or control over any practices that may be used by a third party.
Disclosures
We may disclose information about you to any of our employees, officers, team captains (team golf only), as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
We may also disclose your personal information to the extent that we are required to do so by law or in connection with any legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend our legal rights
Security
We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss misuse or alteration of your personal information, as data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet,
We will store all personal information you provide on our secure server which is password and firewall protected.
You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential.
Individual rights

Knock Golf Club complies with all applicable Data Protection Regulations. We may change this policy from time to time by updating this policy and will notify you accordingly.
Under General Data Protection Regulations you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you think there is a problem in the way your data is being handled.
