A Message from our Captain
Just confirming the rumours are true, I am indeed your Men’s Captain for the year 2026.Many of you will now being doing your best John McEnroe impersonation, “You cannot be serious”, well I’m glad to say I am.
It truly is a great honour to be the Men’s Captain of Knock Golf Club, and I hope to fill the role to the best of my abilities.
Could I wish all our members and visitors a successful and enjoyable year on the hallowed turf of Knock. I think we have turned a corner and can be proud of our course. The efforts of the staff and volunteers are beginning to bear fruit, both on the course and in the clubhouse.
I’m looking forward with immense pride to my year in office, so far everyone has been very encouraging and the support from the Board, Golf Committee and Staff has been greatly appreciated and welcomed.
As you know, my mantra during my year as VC, was “Make Knock Great Again” we have started that journey, so together, let’s keep that momentum going.
I look forward to meeting as many of our members and visitors as possible over the coming year and thank you for choosing Knock as your chosen Club.
Could I wish our Lady Captain, President and Vice Captains all the best for the year ahead and likewise to the various team Captains. A bit more success in the team events would be near the top of my wish list for the season.
Thanks everyone for bestowing upon me the honour of being your Captain.

A Message from our Lady Captain
I am delighted and honoured to be 2026 Lady Captain, and I look forward to meeting and mingling with members and visitors alike.
The ladies section plays a very supportive role within the club in a social way as well as with each other. Tuesday is our main day for competitions with alternative competition options available over the weekend. We are happy to buddy up for anyone who joins us without a playing partner – in fact, most Thursdays are a rollup to encourage and accommodate everyone to enjoy our lovely treelined course.
From springtime onwards the various teams of all handicaps are busy playing inter-club matches across Ulster south region. I would encourage members to join in as the camaraderie in the teams is excellent. Members are always welcome to come along to support and encourage the various teams.
Our social calendar has plenty to offer throughout the year, which usually commences with the finale of the fun winter league dinner… this year I am a Punk Rocker!! What can I say …
I hope we all enjoy the year ahead, both on and off the course as I am wishing for a very memorable one.
Good luck to all.
